Can I have my Japan Rail Pass sent by e-mail?

No, the Japan Rail Pass cannot be sent by e-mail. When you collect your Japan Rail Pass at an exchange office in Japan, you are required to present your original Exchange Order.

Emails, screenshots, and PDFs of the JR Exchange Order are not accepted

To make the exchange, you also need your passport, complete with a temporary visitor stamp/sticker.
